"Small minds discuss people. Great minds discuss ideas."
In the advent of the digital age, it is easy to get caught up in the latest celebrity gossip, political scandal or what Trump said on Twitter.
Let's bring back the days where substantive ideas are discussed in person and where music and art are expressed in its purest form without the cacophony of background noise.
The Living Room Series is inspired by 18th century French salons where a cross-section of society would gather to discuss ideas and share their passion for music and the arts. Through our events, we aim to gather people with different lives, backgrounds and stories to expand everyone's perspective and build a commnity through music, art and words.
The theme for this upcoming Living Room Series is "Invisible Illness". We have partnered up with Ijmal Haider for the September and October event. Ijmal is the founder of RAZI - his blog to share his life living with ulcerative colitis. He was diagnosed in November 2015 and instead of living in a life as a victim, Ijmal's purpose is discuss his journey, findings, and experiences while dealing with this disease. He is hoping to raise awareness, give hope and have a platform for others to discuss their struggles with any invisible illness.
